Just select your speaker choice: 2 x 12's would be like a Pro Reverb, 2 x 10's would be like a Vibrolux ( sorta ), a 15' would be like a Vibroverb and 4 x 10's would be a Super Reverb. Fender quit making 40W one 12 combos in '64 (I think) probably because the power was real tough on speakers of the day. It is basically their version of the 20/25 W Celestion speakers of the 60's. The picture may make the cab in that link look short, but it is the taller BMR/Dual Showman Reverb cab. The Ultralinear BMR has the larger OT, iirc.because it and the SR both have a 70 watt output. The SR has a larger OT which yields a higher output. I really like the Weber Blue Dog speakers in most anything. The early Bandmaster and Bandmaster reverbs differ from a Super Reverb. its still a fender so better that anything else. Its almost identical to a Vibrolux - just an added mid pot on the reverb channel, otherwise same transformers and circuit. Filter capacitors under the doghouse are 20 uF Spragues. My main Fender is a 69 Bandmaster Reverb chassis put into a 2x10 combo cab with Weber Sig 10Ss. Their transformers do very well at classic Fender tones and feel. I chose Mercury Magnetics iron for this build. The amp does have a very good blackface era vibe. Their version of the vintage blue molded and yellow astrons of late 50's and 60's Fender amps.
